Hey Ken,

Welcome to SCF, and back to collecting for that matter. That hobby bug always comes back around sooner or later. Glad you decided to join the boards. This is the best place to trade cards, talk about em, or just meet new people. Question: How do people go about assessing the value of a card that has no BV? ex: the Lamar Odom card in my inventory. Apparently it has no BV because its too rare. Sounds to me like that negatively affects the value. Yet what price would you guys put on this card?

FIrst off, welcome to SCF! This is an awesome site for trading, and you are sure to love it here.

As for the BV question, it is a toughie. It is really all about what you are willing to take for it, and what someone is willing to give you for it. Honestly, some are more experienced at stuff like this, as I have not really had many 1/1. So, if you want, try posting in the Baseball Chat area or General card trading section about this, and you can find some people to probably help you out.

Hey Ken,

To add what schwood said, alot of members will go by sell value, like what cards on ebay will go around. Since that is the closest thing they can put its value to. It isn't negative so don't worry about that. Its usually better when the card is to rare to book. Please post any other questions.
