Any Reason to suspect these Gretzky RC?
I have the opportunity to purchase these 4 Gretzky RC's but I wanted to ask your opinions before I go any further with the negotiations. The cards look legit to me but you never know.....

My advice would be to always go for a slabbed and graded card by BGS OR PSA, to ensure the cards authenticity! Just my advice!

I found this on the net somewhere...One of the most common counterfeit cards that we see, the Gretzky RC has many distinguishing features on the reprint. The first thing you want to look for is to make sure that the yellow print mark is present on Gretzky's left shoulder. From there, other signs of a phony card is the lettering and border lines on the front of the card will not be solid and the colours will bleed together. By looking at the card under magnification, you should be able to see solid black lines and good colour seperation. If you don't see this, red flags should go up.

if you look at the 1st picture, on gretzky's left shoulder (left if you are looking at him. would actually be HIS right shoulder) there is a yellow mark on the 2nd card from the right and isn't one on the other 3

also, if you look at them, Edmonton Oilers should not be offset and in 3 of the 4 (fronts) they look offset
maybe it's just me, but that is the way they look
Also, how much (just a range, not the exact price)

From looking at the pics and using the yellow dot trick, it looks like only the third is legit, which is good, because it looks to be near-mint to mint!

I have higher resolution pictures, all 4 cards have the yellow dot on his left shoulder. but the 2nd card from the right has a round white circle with a black dot in it on his right shoulder which to me is very suspect (and it's the best of the 3 cards). I am pretty sure that the 2nd one to the right is fake as the edges are way too smooth, the remaining 3 cards have rough edges which is typical for that card and there is a print smear on the top right of the cards where it says OILERS; between the L & E. Also when I look at the two cards to the left, his socks have a red blur on the sides but the two cards to the right it's not as visible. Also the "oil drop" on the two cards to the right is higher when the two on the left are offset the the lower left. The two cards to the right also have what appears to be printer roller marks on the card...
Anyhow, I think two are real and two are fake.....
If anyone wants to have a look at the high res scans shoot me off your e-mail address. If anyone has a graded one that they could scan for me that would be great.
Cheers.

Now that I look again, I was looking at the right shoulder not the left...they all have yellow dots above his left shoulder...
