It looks as if he has stated that it is a custom made card and not a card pulled from a pack. Still it does come across as deceptive. Just my 2 cents.....

VERY TRUE!!! Custom Made!!! He cut up a 09 Element cards, and inserted a Quarter, and then stamped it 1\1!!!

NOT A TRUE 1\1 Press Pass!!!

This gut has been doing this for ever! There's really nothing that can be done about him. To my knowledge, he makes all these himself. It's really a case of buyer beware. I do think the idea is pretty neat, but I wouldn't want anything that is an aftermarket production

Jim has been making these cards for years (and selling under several different eBay ID's). He is required by eBay to state that they are Custom Made and not pack pulled or authentic. As long as he is not indicating that the card was pulled and is authentic from Press Pass, he is not doing anything illeagal according to the law.

While it may not be ethical in the minds of us collectors, there are many people that do like getting something like this as an oddity for their collection. Sadly, I've had people contact me through my website trying to sell me some of these older cards he made in the past, but they thought they were genuine. That does hurts the market, but people have to know what they are getting before they buy.

The old saying "caveat emptor" comes to mind when seeing things like this on eBay or any other online site.

he will cut up cards and place "MATERIAL" in them...then stamp them 1/1's ...he does this without mentioning the word "CUSTOM" ....he recently listed some cards that had pieces of the American Flag in them....he caught so much heat from that listing that he pulled the auctions...and a few weeks later they were "RACE USED" flag pieces...
