Another UD boo boo.........
.....I feel bad for whoever bought any Jon Bernier Cup redemptions because who knows if you even got a legitimate piece of jersey he wore, photo shoot or not. (should be game worn after this long!)
This swatch comes from the nameplate on the back of a Kings jersey. Since when is there an "S" in Bernier? Oh wait, there's not......................

Yikes. I was initially thinking "duder may have gotten the S off the Kings logo," but no that background is definitely off of a nameplate. *sigh*

ya, its not part of the nameplate, but the team logo. also too small to be a part of the name plate.

Not team logo either. Logo has black lettering on silver background.
Thought maybe the lettering "LOS ANGELES" along the bottom, but those look silver outlined in purple and different font.

... and that's why the writing on the back of UD Memorabilia cards just states worn in an official NHL game... and not worn by THE PLAYER in an official NHL game

Yeah...this is pretty lame. Every time I pull a GU card I always wonder if UD are actually giving me a piece of that player's jersey, or if they just randomly grabbed one from a pile.
Here's hoping ITG can get the license back so we can have some competition in the hockey card market again.
