Can anyone participate?
The eBay Bucks program is currently in BETA, so at this time eBay is limiting sign-up to a random selection of invited eBay members only. Only members who receive an invitation email are eligible to sign-up for the program. Once the BETA phase ends, we will be adding new participants and will evaluate opening up the eBay Bucks program to all eBay members registered on www.ebay.com, living in the United States, and with account in good standing (no holds or suspensions).
and...
Are there any limitations on how much I can earn?
Yes. You can earn:
* Up to $200 eBay Bucks on any single eBay purchase. This means that if the eBay Bucks earn percentage is 2% and the purchase price (excluding tax, shipping fees) is in excess of $10,000, you would be restricted from earning any more eBay Bucks for that purchase beyond the $200 eBay Bucks purchase earn limit.
* Up to $500 eBay Bucks for all qualifying purchases during a given calendar quarter. This means that if the eBay Bucks earn percentage is 2% and the total value of qualifying purchases exceeds $25,000 during a given calendar quarter, you would be restricted from accumulating any more eBay Bucks beyond the $500 eBay Bucks quarterly earn limit.

Wow ... this sucks ... I've been on ebay since 2000 and I have approx 400 feedbacks at 100% positive. Not to mention I am an Ebay stockholder too!! I am part owner of the company and I'm not even invited to this.

I dont know if I was invited or not as I delete alot of ebay junk mail. But I just pressed the 'Check For An Invitation' button and it worked for me. I never got an email from them I dont think.
Then again I did this like a week ago so maybe they limited # ppl since then? Worth a shot though!

perhaps they need to exclude stockholders from any type of special preference
also you've been on there since 2000 and just have 400 feedback?? :) I've been a member since '98 and have over 1800 and I thought I was a pretty casual spender on there

Checked the link. I'm not invited.
If I got this it would be a good addition. I already have two other sites that pay out. 1% Cash back for all purchases + 25% of seller fees cash back on all purchases (except B/O). If this program becomes available, that's nearly a 5% cash back through e-bay for me! I hope this rolls out soon.

None for me either. I was averaging 20+ transactions a month (all buying) and then stopped b/c that site started to annoy me. You'd think they'd offer it to me to get me buying again. Oh well at least the terrible CEO is gone and maybe that place will turn around.

It is definitely random and will be a great addition to eBay.
