Parents shocked by sex advice website for primary schools kids
Parents shocked by sex advice website for primary schools kids
PRIMARY school students are being told abortion can be "a relief" and hormones make you "feel sexy" on a website endorsed by Education Queensland.
Outraged parent groups are demanding the State Government immediately withdraw its endorsement, warning the website is inappropriate and even dangerous for pre-teens.
But educators argue it is a valuable, fun tool that helps children entering their teens learn about their bodies.
The controversial site, thehormonefactory.com, has been approved as a student resource for Queensland Year 7 classes.
This is the problem I have with the abortion issue. The fact that adults feel this way is one thing, but teaching grade school kids that having an abortion can be a relief?
I think my main problem is the common notion that if you do something stupid and get pregnant, abortion is looked at as an easy fix, a way to avoid the consequences of your irresponsibility. It's just another example of the disappearance of personal responsibility. If you make bad decisions and get pregnant because of it, you can take the easy way out and not have to deal with it...nevermind you're preventing another human from living, at least you don't have to be inconvenienced.
What does everyone else think about teaching elementary school kids that abortion is a relief?

i do not agree with abortion
if you dont feel you can take care of a baby DONT HAVE SEX.
simple as that.
THE ONLY way i think abortion COULD MAYBE be alright is, if a woman were raped.

this is logical of course, but people today, well...they're not so logical...
At my school girls almost brag that they have sex, or brag that they are not using birth control or using protection...sad thing that people want to brag about getting knocked up.Hidden Content
