yea...that was what i was planning to do too...just so i can A.) get some trades done and B.) give me a sense of accomplishment and a feeling like im actually starting and finishing something lol

Yeah base sets are very fun to do, but can be very frustrating sometimes on here. It seems the only things people want for their lowend base is autos and GUs. I won't forget an outrageous offer someone made me. He offered like 15-20 inserts for my sets, and he picked out like 4-5 autos out of my bucket. What???

It would be better to find fellow set collectors and trade with them instead. If you guys need help with basic sets lmk, I won't be outrageous

Very nice for a beginner set, only 220 cards and none of the singles book real high, which makes trading a bit easier.

Another nice one is Topps Tipoff-even cheaper than topps, nice looking base set (to me anyways lol), and only 143 cards. Then there's also 07-08 Topps. A blaster or two should get you a complete set w/ plenty of extras.

Thats the nice thing about certain sets you can build with blasters or low end trades. I have managed to nearly complete 08-09 Topps Chrome, 08-09 Topps Murad with a few blasters and a few low end trades. I just got a lot from 02-03 Finest I needed for free and plan on using sportlots.com to fill some other needs. I might complete 6 sets this week and then start on 6 more or go hunting for some cheap ones at the local shop.
