A PS3 Question.. someone HELP Please
hey guys, i have a PS3
and i like old school ps1 games still
does anyone know if there is something you can buy to where you can save ps1 games to your ps3??
like something that maybe plugs into it

I have no idea but the first thing I would do is check on Sony or ask in Game Stop or something like that

I remember looking into this a while ago.. I think there is a chip you have to have welded onto your motherboard... then you can play them. If you want, though, I'm pretty sure you can download a lot of the games from your PS3 internet connection and store them on your hard drive - you just won't be able to have it in tangible disk form.

Pulled this info from google.
"Under the games section you have to make a virtual memory card on the PS3 HDD right above your PS3 saves folder. If you want your old saves you need to get a USB adapter to get the saves on your hard drive."

What type of system do you have to.. I do know that a lot of the more recent models got rid of backwards compatibility for the ps2 and ps1 games.

yea, like XBOX 360, they have a Game Marketplace, where you download Original XBOX games to your hard drive.

All PS3 systems are backwards compatible with PS1 games. But only three PS3 models are backwards compatible with PS2 games. Sadly, there are six different PS3 models produced.
