Same here.. If its a card around 30 bucks then I like to insure it simply because its one of the few I spend decent money on

If you're only buying stuff that costs less than $10, I think that you should ask the seller to use delivery confirmation instead of insurance. Insurance will only pay up to what you paid for the item, not the BV. So if you buy something for 99 cents, and pay $1.30 to insure it, then you'll end up losing money on the deal!
Delivery confirmation only costs 55 cents and allows you to track the package. I've gotten to the point where I request it and send using it almost every time. I've grown very tired of people claiming problems with the postal service.

I totally agree on the delivery confirmation part myself, but if i buy something really cheap like $5 or under i don't care about the insurance or confirmation, but if it's in the $30's or higher then i'll pay for the insurance for sure, but i'll pay for the confirmation if it's around $15 or so tho. It just better for you to know what happened to the package if the seller decides to be an ™™™ lol.
Just my putting in my 2 cents lol

I almost never buy insurance. I only did once, when I purchased my ARod SP BuyBack auto for $50.
