And I've read somewhere that if you do plan on grading them then you should remove the peel just in case there's marks or scratches on the peel so you'll get the true grade.

that is true. most peels are never are in great shape but if you do get a high grade with peel the value goes way up

Nice looking cards! Those need to be graded! ;)

No offense, but grading has become really expensive now a days.

The point I want to tell you, Grading has only a little advantage than the past time.


For example, We can buy Vince Carter SPx BGS 9.5 around 100$ DLVD.
(If you are really lucky it would be 90$, or if you are a little mad it would be 120$..)

But did you see SPx condition?

Most of that SPX finite is not good rather really bad in most of case.


if you send one card to BGS as 45 days, 8$ or 9$ per card.

And you have to pay shipping fee.

Base SPx Finite Carter would be 35-40$ DLVD.

At least you have to pay 60$ and we can't be garaunteed we will get BGS 9.5 card.


Even a few years ago, there were less graded card at the market.
(Of course, tons of graded cards there but not like now.)


And now..Graded card is so general.


SO if you really want to grade certain card, I wold recommend sell that card and buy new card as graded what you want.



I would only recommend to grade.

1) have plan to keep cards as permenetly.

Frankly speaking, Grading Press plate is not necessary.

But I wanted to keep as safe so I graded
(because I have too many cards...not all crazy expensive cards though..)





2) Your card is too expensive or too crazy like LBJ-MJ-Magic Triple.
and you want to keep as safe or sell as high value.



Except above 2 cases, I would not think grading is best choice....


one exceptional case is you would have free coupon of BGS...that's OK. =)
