Hey,
I'm obviously new to this forum. I collected cards back in my middle school and early HS days. I haven't really bought many cards since 2000, but I have a collection of around 4-5K cards.

I am joining because i would like to start collecting again, but hopefully this time I can step it up to collecting cards of more value. (current HV card is $25 lol)

I recently valued some 300 cards that i belive are my high value cards and for those, i'm fairly satisfied with the growth in value i've seen since 2000 when i had last kept track of card values.

I'd like to start collecting some san jose sharks cards and would like to polish up some sets from 00 that only need a few cards to complete the sets.

Welcome to SCF! Glad you decided to join these great boards. This is the best place to trade cards, talk about em, or just meet new people. Its great to see former collectors get back into the hobby. You get to see all the new and crazy ideas card companies have come up with since you left. Some of the cards they make now are just insane looking. It must be fun to go through all those older cards you had and price them to see how much they have changed now. I didn't have to many high dollar cards either, but keep at it and you'll be getting more and more high dollar cards. Its always good to see more set collectors as it seems like everyone wants the big hits. Gotta love the little guy cards. There is a big hockey following on the boards so I know there are some San Jose cards out there that your personal collection would like. The fun part is finding them. Matt: ya there are some crazy designs and the amount of auto/jersey cards now is just ridiculous, seems almost as if they aren't hard to get, but we'll see about that in the coming months lol
