Howdy
Howdy fellow sports card collectors!
My name is Ryan and I'm from San Antonio, TX. Graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelors in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sciences. Thought I wanted to work in the Hotel business but that didn't work out. Now I work for Rush Refuse Systems (Rush Peterbilt) and sell solid and liquid waste trucks (aka Garbage trucks). Fun business to be in.
I used to collect cards as a kid for fun and not for profit. Late last year I had a nostalgic memory of card collecting and decided to buy a couple boxes to cure my needs. First box I bought was 07/08 SPA after reading up on it. Somehow I pulled a Durant JSY AU RC /299 as one of the two hits. Obviously I was hooked. Bought a few more boxes, thought I wanted to collect Spurs cards since I am a Spurs fans and live in San Antonio however I felt as if there were already a few fans collecting in that market so shifted to someone I loved to watch playing at A&M, Acie Law IV.
I had to stop collecting around October because I decided I was going to buy a house. Needed all the funds I could get. Now I have my house and have some spare income to get back into the hobby. I am steadily starting to work on my PC of Acie Law IV and would appreciate any help if anyone has anything. I look forward to talking to all of yall.

Hey Ryan,
Wecome to SCF! Glad you decided to join the sites. This is the best place to trade cards, talk about em, or just meet new people with the same hobby interests. Congrats on the house, you picked a good time to buy with the economy. That hobby bug ALWAYS finds its way back around and bites, just depends on how long its been since you collected. Thats cool that you collect your college alum, I'm a Marshall University collector, but we don't have much basketball stars minus Hal Greer, but Hall of Famers always help. There are a bunch of great members in the basketball forums, so you'll have to post what you have to trade and that your looking for Acie Law. I wish I could be breaking boxes and pulling a top rookie like you did, thats a great start back in the hobby. Thanks for the great introduction. If you have any questions feel free to PM or post. Hope to see you around the boards.
Enjoy the site!
~Matt
