Are we allowed to do this?

I apologize if we're not, and it can be closed down if seen inapropriate. I'm just wondering if i can get other people to buy stuff off eBay for me and get a trade going for that? I don't have PayPal so I can't do anything on eBay but windowshop. Sometimes I see cards for my pc or very obscure, hard to find ones and I get distressed I know won't be able to find that kind of card on SCF or any other board. lmk, i'd appreciate it.

I wouldn't see why that would be against the rules, as long as the person purchasing the card waits until it's in their possession prior to posting the trade, and as long as an ebay transaction isn't posted as an SCF transaction.

Thanks for the info Nate, i've always been wary of eBay and i've never seen others do this. I'm bummed since most of my possible pc cards are floating around the bay, for cheap too...

    Thanks Kenny

You don't necessary have to have a Paypal account in order to use Ebay, although having one just helps make the transactions alot easier and faster. For a while, I didn't have a Paypal account and would pay for the auctions that I won with a personal check or money order if the sellers offer those additional methods as payments.

Yea, but now everything is strictly PayPal...eBay stopped allowing MO's/Checks/Cash a while ago.

Whoops, I didn't know that. It's been a while since I paid for items with other methods of payments that I'm unaware of their new policy change. Thanks for the clarification though.

Sometimes you can message the seller and ask him if he will accept money order. And if he does just buy it and work out the payment details with him. I have done this many times and haven't had a problem.
