For me, I had tonnes of fun opening ITG Original 6 a few years back. Of course, you'd have to be a fan of the teams to fully appreciate them.

In general, I think the most fun boxes to break aren't necessarily the ones that have that one single sweet pull, but the ones that have a lot of pulls and are generally a good value. I'd say O-Pee-Chee, especially 2008-09 fits that bill. You don't need to be a high end product to be a ton of fun. It seems that BTP is a really fun rip due to being extra loaded this year.

In general, I find UD Series 1 & 2 and SPA most years are fun to rip... sought after rookie cards and a number of other inserts make them generally fun.

05-06 Ultra and 05-06 UD2, back before the box dealers had heard about Ovechkin and they were still $40

01-02 Topps was a lot of fun to break. I was always a fan of Pacific too, didn't really have a specific year that was my favorite though.

Easily the Habs Centennial set. Before that came out, I really enjoyed cracking open Black Diamond for my set building project.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

    I have 2 favourites.

02/03 Fleer Throwbacks (Hobby Box). Here is a product chock full of all the players I collect. With a guaranteed memorabilia card (sometimes an auto) in a box as a bonus, it was great because even the base were gold to me! I almost have the full set (inc inserts and memorabilia cards), so buy the odd box here and there just in case.

05/06 Hot Prospects - I was really impressed with the amount of GU/Autos's you got out of a box of this. I got a case of this stuff when it came out and ended up with a load of stuff. Not forgetting of course that it was the rookie season of a future great of the game - a man who's effect on the game could be startling, he could change a game in a flash. I am referring of course to Derek Boogaard.
