I agree it would be close between Ovie, Sid and Geno......if they played all 82 games....but I think Ovie would win MVP over the other 2...simply because he is more Valueable to his teams success....PLUS - The passion he has for hockey and the capitals is amazing.....Every goal looks like a Stanley Cup winner with him.....You can just tell he loves tha game more than anyone....

have to agree 100% with what CSS said

If that was the case, which it never is (the most valuable to their team), can be debated until the day we day, I think Malkin shoulda got it last year then. He single handed carried the Pens to the Stanley cup finals last year. Without malkin, the pens wouldn't have even made the playoffs.

Without Ovechkin, Washington would be fighting for last place......He makes everyone around him better, not just himself (see Malkin). And I dont just mean Passing....He gets just as excited when his teammates score as when he scores......without him, The Caps are nothing....without Malkin, they still have Crosby and Staal

Malkin led the league in assists and doesn't showboat like an NFL player.

Staal is a good player, but people talk about him like he is puttin up 70 80 points a year. Not the case, you might have to look at Staals stats, because I cant recall, but haha, not impressive.
And last year, we had nothing but Malkin, Sid was injured, and even our goalie was out for half the year, just lucky conklin did well. Ovechkin scored goals, but has a not so impressive + -, less then both Sid and Malkin. He has the most give-aways in the league, while Malkin has the most take-aways. There is no reasone why he wouldnt win the Selke award. Now if he wins the Selke AND the Art Ross, how can you even put up an argument about the Hart? AO shoots the puck 10 times more then anyone else in the league, he better have more goals. Since when does bein a puck hog win you the Hart? Yea obviously im biased towards the Pens, but my aguement makes sense. Any player can win it though. I wouldn't be surprised to hear Crosbys name in the mix for the hart trophy... why not? Without Sidney, the Penguins wouldn't even be in Pittsburgh right now. Hes the Captain, third in scoring, even after missing all those games, his points to game ratio is most likely higher then both AOs and Genos. He comes through when we need him to, and is a big time clutch player. The caps have a solid core of guys, and would eventually be fine without em. Besides, that is what the voting is supposed to go by, most beneficial to ones team, but it doesn't. If it did, Mason should win. The BJs wouldnt be in the playoffs PERIOD without him. IF it was by that. Just my arguement, back to bed haha. Later.
