    Hello

    Hi Sports Fans,

I'm obviously new to this so go easy on me while I briefly introduce myself. My name is Jarrad and I reside in Australia (aka The worst place to buy cards), I collect anything to do with basketball. I'm currently working on my card collection but I do like to buy a jersey every now and again plus any other memorabilia I can get my hands on.

My older brothers got me into basketball cards in the early 90's and I've been collecting on and off since then. The new upper deck lineage appeals to me primarily because it brings back memories of having the snot beat out of me for a jordan insert.

I've been hovering over this site for sometime so I finally found the time to register, which I'm glad I did. Anyways, thats me.

    Hey Jarrod,

Welcome to SCF! Glad you decided to join the boards. This is the best place to trade cards, talk about em, or just meet new people with the same hobby interests. Its really cool to see the NBA reaching to other countries. Brings in more members to the site and even collecting becomes bigger. I have to think its hard to get cards over there, but thats why the internet is our friends, lots of good card stores online that will sell boxes. I'm a big jersey collector as well, I don't know why, I just like having some jerseys of my favorite players or some players that I have met that are really nice to the fans. Just supports them a bit I guess. Lineage is a really nice product, I like watching guys break it on youtube, haha because its not on my dollar and I don't have to worry about not making my money back haha. Its always cool to see siblings get other into the hobby, my sister and older brother got me into it as well. If this is the first site you've joined you'll get addicted because it is soo easy to trade cards and there is always something you can use on here. There is a bunch of great members in the basketball forum so you'll have to get over there and start posting what you have to trade or what your looking for. Those guys have a lot of knowledge. This is a link for all the new members to read, so just take a look and make sure your good on everything:

Please feel free to PM or post any questions you may have. Hope to see you around the boards.
    Enjoy the site!

wow, ive never felt so welcome anywhere in my life. I know claim SCF as my new home.

Herdsman87 (Matt): I agree, when it isnt my money being spent I love watching box breaks. I feel their pain though when they pull something terrible or the case hit is shockingly bad.

I must add that the Australian dollar is incredibly weak against the American dollar at the moment, so I have to save twice as hard now. Theres two comic bookshops within an hour drive of where I live that sell basketball cards, but not boxes. Buying one pack at a time really sucks, not too mention one of the shops charges over $20AU (around $14US) for a pack of 08/09 Topps Hardwood. Which works out to be $360AU for the box... Talk about making a killing off marking up prices.

Thats my rant over for now.

I don't know what's your experience will be here..

But for me, here is the warmmest place. =)
(Frankly speaking, I have a few accounts at another forum.
But here is best for me.)

/Australia (aka The worst place to buy cards)/

I fully understand your situation, now.

    But not worse than mine..IMO.

My country Curruncey(Korean won) has felt too much.
(I have also known about AU $'s down.
Because I have a few aussie(not close though) collector friends.)

For example, Last year 400$ is the same as 250$ as my currency. =(

And for Shop, there are only 2 shops in my country.

Most of items they have sold is a few boxes, storage and poor single cards.

Furthermore, I have collected minor players like Rod Strickland, Kenny Anderson, Robert Horry etc...

SO I think you would be better than me at least..=)
