He is a small shooting guard. When he played last night he ran point when Calderon was out. I know at Rutgers he was a shooting guard.

He was/is a frustrating player to watch. He would shoot lights out during practice and summer leagues. However, he seemed lost when the real games rolled around. He had the ball in his hands a couple of times at the end of close games earlier this year only to miss both times, badly. In his defense, his PT was very inconsistent during his tenure with the Kings. I do hope he catches on somewhere next year, but he is going to have to pull it all together first.

He got some minutes two nights ago and he seemed much more controlled then he usually is. He took his time, took great, open shoots, and made them. But with the Kings he did seem very hesitant. I really hope he pulls it together too.

I think Quincy Douby can be a solid shoot first combo guard off the bench for the Raptors, like a poor man's Ben Gordon. I could see him getting 8-12 mpg as the 4th guard next season, because Marcus Banks isn't all that and there's an outside shot that Anthony Parker doesn't get resigned. When he's on, he's on, and any team will have a place for a lights out shooter, but unfortuanatly for Douby the Raptors already have that player in Jason Kapono. He's more likely to be a situational player, but if he stays focused and works on his D, he could find a spot in the rotation. My Bulls play the Raptors tonight so maybe I'll get to see him play. It would also help if he shaved his unibrow. ;-)
