Quick question about patches...
I am not trying to call anyone out, and refuse to, but just had a quick question on something. And maybe I just am in the dark on something.
I have a few questions on patch cards.
What exactly constitues a patch?
Is there an industry standard?
Is a swatch with stitching (same color) a patch?
Is a swatch with pinstripe just two color but not a patch?
Is a swatch with two colors (non-pinstripe) a patch? Or just 2 color?
Or is a swatch with multiple colors, multiple textures and stitching the only thing that is a patch?
Just curious.Hidden Content
I collect Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins and UNH Hockey and Football Players (Base/Inserts/GU/AU)
My PC NFT is exactly that, Not For Trade! It is for show only. So, please don't ask!
I unfortunately can no longer afford to trade outside of the US. Even Canada rates are way too high!

To me, you can have a one-color patch, but it's gotta be part of the actual patches from the jersey - part of the team name, number, player name, etc.
It's hard to describe - I'll paraphrase the old line - I know it when I see it.

Agreed^
As long as it is the embroidered lettering it is a patch.
