    Ray Allen suspended one game

NEW YORK (AP)—The NBA has suspended Boston guard Ray Allen one game without pay for elbowing Cleveland forward Anderson Varejao in the groin.

The players got tangled under the basket after a free throw with 5:05 remaining in the third quarter of the Cavaliers’ 107-76 victory on Sunday. Varejao flung Boston’s guard to the floor, and Allen responded with his elbow. Allen will be docked more than $167,000 in salary.

What the heck? If Ray-Ray is suspended, Anderson should be at least fined...personally, I don't think anything should've been done to either player, but if something was done to one, they should've done something to both.

I have to say I think Allen is more at fault. Getting tangled up for a rebound happens in every game, even one guy putting the other to the floor happens a lot too, but a blatant elbow to the groin is uncalled for in that situation. I'm surprised a guy as classy as Allen would do that but he probably was just frustrated with the beatdown the Celts were getting

That's the problem - throwing someone to the ground shouldn't be allowed, especially when it's obvious that it's intentional.

That's what happens when you can't make a shot and get mad at Andy for no reason. Varejao did nothing wrong....Allen wouldn't let go of his arm, and fell to the ground for no reason.

I have zero respect for Ray Allen. I used to respect him, but now he's just another punk to me.

It's because he's in Boston now, isn't it?

I also agree that this was minor, ejection should be the most that happened. If Ray was suspended, then so should Varejao. I mean throwing a player to the ground shouldn't be passed on just because he got what was coming to him.

Dude the Cavs are just goin to lose to my Celtics AGAIN in the playoffs and Lebron the most overrated player will CHOKE just like his horrible team. Same thing goes for the Capitals who will not go anywhere with the Bruins in their Conference.
