I didn't see this coming....maybe because I'm a fan of another team whose coach has been around forever

senrab-do you think it is time for Lindy to go? Sabres are my #1 and I am in Edmonton so I really do not get the pulse of Buffalo when it comes to these things. I like Lindy and have no issues with him still coaching the Sabres.

No, I love Lindy....he's really taking heat when I don't think he's the problem. The problem is Darcy Regier and Larry Quinn, IMO. Lindy is a **** of a coach, they just don't give him the right players to work with. Not to mention the bungling of a few free agents a few years back who shall remain nameless.

that sounds like Ted Nolan being shown the door when he took them so far. Of course you know who was shown the door. It usually the coach no matter who is creating the stink be it player, gm, owner, etc.

Ted wasn't shown the door - Darcy offered him a 1 year contract extension and he was insulted, as he had every right to be.

MacT wasn't the only problem, some of the forwards are too small, extremely inexperienced, not gritty enough, penner couldn't skate faster than my 7 year old, they better do some more cleaning out the garbage otherwise a new coach still won't have much to go with if they go with the same group of players!

MacT wasn't the problem, hes a great coach, but his system is getting old in edmonton, players dont seem to be responding to him well, but its like Tambellini said in his press conference, there will be changes happening to players who lack the intensity and grit to play.

nilsson, penner, of most part, but if these players are still being lazy next year i bet they will be gone.
