03-04 Topps Chrome Box. (How Much)

My local card shop has a sealed box of 03-04 Topps Chrome. Of course this set has the Lebron, D Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh... RC cards. He said he wanted to hang onto it, but would sell it, If I gave him a good offer. My question to my SCF brethern......What is a good price to pay for this box? Is there anywhere online that would have a box for sale, that I could compare prices? What kind of a price should I feel good about buying this at?

whatever online stores have it for, he'll want more i'm sure..

personally i think its unproffesional no matter how well you get along with the owner of this store, the owner should have set prices, not asking you to make an offer (basically wanting you to rip yourself off)

My suggestion: Track any completed listings for the box on ebay and get a gauge for what they've sold for. And I agree that it's pretty unprofessional that the cardshop is asking you to dictate the price... tell him $100.. hes selling the box (or not selling it from the way it sounds)

Well I have to disagree with saying its unprofessional -its business and in this business for a product that is either hard to come by or the rookie year is a good one the owner has the right to take the best offer he gets. Its all supply and demand if you ask me.
