I'll start this off.
I live in Kenova, West Virginia. This is a small community right at the border of Wv,Ohio, and Kentucky. We can literally look out our front window and see both states. We are on the out skirts of Huntington, Wv, home of Marshall University Thundering Herd.
I'm 47 years old and have been collecting since 1991. It started off as really therapy after losing my right foot in an accident at work. Started by collecting every sport but soon got overwhelmed by the influx of cards. Started back into it in 2003 with just racing cards. Joined Beckett and Sports Card Sheriff at the time. In 2004, Rick and Les asked me to join the team on SCS and have been a team member ever since. Followed the move from SCS to STC to SCF.
After enduring another work related accident in 2002, I elected to go back to school. Started in Spring of 2005 at Marshall University and graduated in the spring of 2008 with a degree in Finance (who knew the economy was going to tank.....lol).
But I'm a true blue collar worker and have been employed as a heavy burner at Evans Welding. I operate a flame table that can cut up to 8 inch thick steel. One of our main customers is Fletchers which manufactor Mining Equipment, we burn most the parts for them. Also do alot of parts for an outfit that does mainly Corp of Engineer work (locks and dams).
Been married happily for 22 years now and have three lovely daughters. Two of them you will get to know, or already do, here on SCF. They are both racing mods. My other one is a 15 year old scapper who going to put me in an early grave....lol....JK. She is a sophomore at Spring Valley HS. She is also my non-sport collector along with my wife. They collect Harry Potter and Twilight for daughter and Charmed for wife.
I'm a collector of Greg Biffle, Tony Stewart, Marcos Ambrose, Jon Wood and Steve Wallace. I also collect autographs and base sets with some insert sets added in.

Hello!! I'm Ashley, 20, also from Kenova, WV.
I'm a junior at Marshall majoring in management and marketing and love it. Besides family, school is the most important thing in my life. After graduating I really want to work for a Nascar team or a track. During school I dont work but during the summer I've worked at a pool concession stand for 5 years.
I have two sisters...Shayne and Cody. My grandma and grandpa are my best friends and I'd pretty much die without them. I have two Boston Terriers...Tia and Tobie. Tia is really, really old. :( I also have 9 guinea pigs! Talla is my little girl. Cali, Daytona, and Richie are her boys (my grandpigs!). Dega and Addison (guinea niece & nephew) have three kids (by accident!)...Avery, Denny, and Annabelle. Caring for them all takes a lot of time (and is expensive!) but they're worth it.
I never got why dad collected cards until 2005. He helped me start my JJ Yeley collection and then my Brian Vickers collection. Now I have a hard time saying no to buying a new card for the collection.
Along with my Brian Vickers and JJ Yeley collections, I also collect AJ Allmendinger.

Stephen Taylor aka Race Crazy
Age 21

Best Friends:
you guys might know them as the resident Munchkins lol-Ashley and Shayne.
My Collecting Interests:
Carl Edwards
Carl Edwards
and...Carl Edwards
Why:
I could be a dork and say cause hes the man and better than everyone else (Junior fans listening? LOLOL j/k)
In truth-I saw him race a piece of junk truck for an underfunded team in the truck series in 2002-I was impressed-then Roush hired him and quickly I was cheering on the dude with the dorky braces and the never give up attitude-I didnt know hed turn into this megastar-I just liked his personality haha-then of course along came a backflip and a breakout 2005 season in Busch and Cup-and now my lonely driver with the goofy braces is a household name-odd how that worked out but saying im a huge fan is an understatement lol. Anyways-thats the story on my collecting passion.
Previous to that id always been in the hobby-just collecting basketball cards along with racing cards-my dad got me into it and hes built up our old ricky rudd collection quite nicely to over 1000 cards. I was a huge Rudd fan growing up-in part because the bright orange tide car caught my age 5 eyes in a stare at the TV and from then on ive watched every race since 1993 lol.
Other Things:
I love pizza
I love Nascar history
I love the show Wind Tunnel
Talladega is my favorite track
I think I live too far away from everything
Losing weight is hard LOL
I always need more money
I like basketball and football as well
My first concert was Megadeth last year
Im a Metalhead as far as music goes
I love argueing with people about racing
Ive been to 2 nascar tracks-Daytona and Michigan
Ive met exactly 2 famous racing personalities-Chris Economaki and Donny Schatz
Ive been around the track in a stock car-in 2004 at Michigan-we averaged 159 mph and hit 180 on the straights.
Acheivements:
I once beat Denny Hamlin in an online race in Nascar Racing 2003
I was a Go-kart racer from 1996 to 2004:
1998 North Dakota Regional Champ: YAY me!
I loved racing for real-ill do it again someday-and its too much fun not to haha.
If you couldnt tell by my name i just kinda enjoy motorsports-haha. Its my #1 passion in life behind friends and family. Nascar and Carl Edwards are the best!!! But thats not where my racing limitations stop-i love it all-NHRA, Indy Cars, Sprint Cars, Formula 1, Sports cars, Rolex Series, Le Mans, etc etc etc etc-get it haha! Im race crazy!

Name: Kathleen Virginia McNamara Davis = way to long, make it Kathy
Location: Waldport, OR
Age: 55 (Born 09/16/1953) Sign: Virgo
Occupation: Receptionist at a physical therapy clinic {former bookkeeper}
Married: 34 years {11/12/1974} to Michael married him after dating only 5 months
Children: None
Pets: One spoiled rotten Lakeland Terrier who is 6 years old
Born and raised in Cherry Hill, NJ. My parents still live in the same house.
At 20 years old I was bored with my life and wanted to do something different. So I enlisted in the Army, after Basic Training I was assigned to the 77 MP Detachment in Manheim, Germany. I was the 1st woman ever assigned to the unit. I was the Funds & Property Clerk in the stockade. And that’s where I met Michael – in jail! He was an MP there. After 22 months for me and a total of 39 months for Michael, we rotated back to the states and spent close to 3 years in Anniston, AL. When Michael was discharged we moved to Phoenix, AZ where he went to DeVry to get his degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He took a job in California where we lived for 25 years. Sales and mergers of the company he worked for lead to him being laid off in December 2007. So we decided to do something we always wanted to do – buy a house on the coast. And that moved us to Waldport, Oregon.
We became avid NASCAR fans in long about 1993. A co-worker and I each decided to pick a favorite driver. He picked Jeff Gordon and I picked Terry Labonte. I liked Terry’s calm, cool attitude and his quiet sense of humor. Bobby became my co-favorite after the Bristol race where he wrecked - with the car pinned against the high banks - he climbed out, threw his helmet at the car, kicked the tire and kinds slid down the side of the car to wait for the rescue crew. That just made me laugh and Labontebrothersfan was born. I added Carl Edwards as a favorite when he was in the truck series.
I started collecting trading cards in 1998. I started buying packs at the store trying for a 1998 Maxx set. I was getting nowhere fast and probably would have given up if Michael hadn’t introduced me to ebay! I started buying sets like crazy. Eventually I stumbled onto Yahoo Groups trading forums. Les invited me to join NTN2 then the old SportsCardSheriff forum. I expanded my collection to include singles of Bobby Labonte, Terry Labonte, Carl Edwards & Dale Earnhardt.
That's pretty much ME
