Why can't I comment on it? Yeah, I didn't see it, but I have seen enough of KG to defend him, I think...anyway, not going to argue it...you saw it, I didn't...I'm sure he was pumped, as they just won a game...and I'm sure he's not the only player in the league to say obscenities....
KG is far more important to Boston than Deng is to Chicago though....
You act as if they are the only "cocky" players in the league....not arguing, just stating what seems to be the obvious...and why shouldn't they play with a chip on their shoulder? Combined, Ray, Paul and KG have played about 40 years in the league, and they finally won a title last season...they have a huge target on their backs now, and they aren't just going to lie down and die....Last edited by garnett_21; 04-20-2009 at 10:16 PM.

Right, the problem is we all know they are all great players and everything but when you become a great player, you have to learn how to behave and respectful.
WE ALL Know KG is a future HOF player. No one is arguing about his skills.
But he needs to stop acting like an idiot.
Ever since I saw KG started to harrass Calderon earlier this season, I started to hate him as a person.
Just because u won 1 title, doesnt mean u are a god and better than everyone else in NBA.
U dont have to look around to much. Look at Duncan.
Do we ever hear about Wilt, Abdul Jabbar or Jordan crying out F**** to other teams on the floor after the game?

I'm not condoning the use of obscenities on the court, but his actions are very similar to how he played in Minnesota....he's respectful - probably one of the most respectful players in the league - but he is also probably one of the most emotional players in the league as well.
And I don't think that he thinks he is God...lol
I could comment on some other things, but it's probably best if I don't...lol...don't want this to turn into a 600-post argument

Yea, I dont want to argue about this too long either.
Its cant be another Kobe vs Lebron thread right? :)
I used to like KG when he was playing for the T-wolves (I used to collect KG until 2002), and wished him well when he was traded to Boston.
In his career, he really established himself as a great player. But we all know there is a clear difference between one of the best like MJ and Kareem and great players like Malone and Barkley.
I think KG's poise and actions recent (after he won the championship) has really changed from being emotional to cocky.
He definitely crossed that line this year. It's a small difference but at the same time, its a huge difference.
If any of the Bulls players heard KG calling them F**** after the game (most of Bulls players are 5-8 years younger than KG), how can you respect KG as a person?

The truth is that what noone can argue about is how this is shaping up as an awesome series! As most expected this has been a learning experience for most of Chicago's inexperienced players, but their composure so far has been pretty impressive. Today's game was decided on details, like so many playoff games. Both teams had a player that was on fire, but a couple of key possessions down the stretch sealed the deal for the Celts. Can't miss the games in the United Center, this may turn out to be the best first round series in this year's playoffs.

Haha, yeah, another Kobe/Lebron thread, and it's a Bulls/Celtics thread...lol
Pretty cool you collected him too...anyway, yes, there is a difference between elite players (Jordan) and great players (Malone/Barkley), but the only difference is the help they had - Jordan didn't win a ring til Pippen came along - Kareem had a number of greats, including Magic - Barkley really never had another great along side of him (that I can recall right off hand) and Malone had Stockton, but they played in the championship game against Jordan...impossible to win there. Anyway, any of the big time stars have had to have another good player to play with them in order to win a title - Duncan/D-Rob, Duncan/Parker/Ginobili, Wade/Shaq, Shaq/Kobe, Russell/Cousy, Russell/Havlicek, KG/Pierce/Allen....I can't recall a lone star to win a ring by himself.
And yeah, that's why I said I don't condone his language, but at the same time, I wouldn't call him cocky...maybe I'm bias...but, then again, most Lebron/Kobe fans could be the same way
