    Rhode Island Collecting Scene

I'll be in school in Newport, Rhode Island in May and again in late July through the end of August. Just wondering if there are any good shops or shows up there. I've never been to the area before, but I should have a lot of free time on the weekends to visit shops or shows. I didn't see anything listed for that area in the events section. Thanks for any input.

There's not much in Rhode Island. I'm a regular at a show in Mansfield, MA at a hotel (Forget which hotel right now). There's a shop literally a minute from my house but its way up in Northern Rhode Island.

Massachusetts is where most of the good stuff is. I know we have a staffer from RI who might chime in here. I'm from Connecticut and there is only one show near where I am from in Connecticut.

Yay i was mention in a post by Kevin,

I am from RI, there are a couple of shops that i know of. One just moved to Newport but i remember them being kinda expensive. I think they are called

    Your Sports Memorabilia Store

But i visit one in Barrington RI

    All Sports Collectibles.

Great store but no real hours, he is normally open between. 3 and eight pm most days. he has got a decent selection of singles but people buy up his packs quick... lots of empty boxes on the wall lol. i can get a set of directions to you if needed, i know how to get there just not the address lol.

there is also a card show in RI on the first of every month. but i have only been once. it's also in nothern RI. so i am not sure how much traveling you want to do. what college are you attending?
