    Oh my goodness..

Anyhow, good luck. I've lost 22 pounds since summer of 2008; I'm now back to my previous regular weight of 115, which I've been maintaining easily for about two months now (I'm 5'1½"). All I did was reduce the calories in my diet (reduce, not starve) and do a lot of exercising (particularly incline treadmill walking, which burns many more calories than flat surface running, cycling, etc. because you are going up against resistance).

I've been doing the same since december and am down 20 lbs. Exercise and eat right and you should be good to go. The hardest part for me is the eating. I'm in my groove as far as exercising, but sometimes slip on the eating right side. If you drink a lot of soda, cutting that out all together will help a lot. That stuff is pure junk... even the diet drinks.

For me the treadmill/elliptical stuff gets boring. I still do it, but I play indoors soccer every week and just started taking a boxing training glass. The boxing class is the toughest training I've done, but it's so fun. I can do that and the hour and a half flies by. On the elliptical I'm checking the clock 5 minutes in. I'd recommend finding some fun activities that are physical so it helps you get into the routine or working out.

Sounds like GTbballer will have some good tips.

For me the best thing to remember is that if you do slip up and eat bad once or twice, get back up on the horse and don't let it stop you. Once you get a workout rhythm going and start seeing results you'll get to the point where it's much easier to workout.

You may also consider finding someone at your work that also wants to lose and you can make a friendly wager. I'm doing that. Whomever loses the most weight by percentage by June 12th wins the other person's $100.

    good luck

Man I played indoor soccer about 1/2 a year ago, and I'll tell you, it's ONE **** OF A WORKOUT. It's lot's of fun and it's great exercise.
