    I Need A Hug :(

Well, the Blue Jackets dream season is officially over, but they gave it a great run. They kinda got shafted on the penalties on Dorsett and Commodore in the beginning. And there was that little matter of five skaters and a goalie being too many men on the ice.

I would've liked to have seen my Jackets win at least once, but it's a great accomplishment to finally make the playoffs. I'm pretty disappointed though. This year was a great one though, and our future looks bright. Mason, Voracek, Filatov, Dorsett, and more played great this year, and Rick Nash is only 24! The Jackets are gonna be back for sure!

Anyways, just wanted to make this thread for a little rant and to share my Blue Jacket pride. I'm sure this will be posted elsewhere, but I wanted to give my take. I still love my Blue Jackets, and I'm looking forward to next year! Carry the flag, march on, Jackets, march on!

I was glad to see Nash in the playoffs for the first time. I wish they would have lasted longer. Hopefully they build off of this season.

The too many men on the ice might have been a tough call to make that late in the game but when a player is coming off the bench and he plays the puck before the guy he is replacing is off the ice then it is too many men!! And the guy he was coming on the ice for was 20 feet from the bench!! Great call!! Just bad timing.

The linesman was PLEADING with the ref to make the call, and after a period of letting both teams play (and frankly, the wings got away with a LOT more than the CBJ, and Im being nice here), they made a decision at the end of the game. It was a stupid way to lose, and if they had just killed it, wouldnt have matter, but it was a lousy way to end the game and the season.

Yeah, the Blue Jacket will be back.
They are a young team, they need to build a couple areas.

As you state they have a nice nucleus. If they can keep them and add depth like they did with R.J. and others they should be just fine.

That was a tough call at the end of the game. Talk about a heartbreaker in which the referee/linesman truly decided the outcome - the CBJ player was about 6 feet (not 20, as someone said earlier) away from the bench and clearly not looking at the play. By the letter of the rules, yes it's a penalty, but stuff like that goes uncalled regularly because it's often a discretionary call. It's a very sad way to go out.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Maybe you should watch it again. Or just watch sportscenter. They have talked about it this morning and so far everyone has said yes it was a good call. They had Matthew Barnaby on early this morning and he said GREAT CALL!!

Yes I agree it is a crappy way to end the game but so was all the beer cans and objects that were thrown on the ice!!

Great Game other than those incidents and I have to say that with that young goalie and the fire power they have I think they will def reach the 2nd round or higher next year!!

    Good Season CBJ!!!
