I'm so glad Maynard lost last night
Anyone else feel this way. Come on, this is a guy who has a history of good wrestling talent that he wanted to transfer to MMA, but he has no arms below the elbow or legs below the knee.
He competed in his first MMA contest last night and lost a decision. I hope he doesn't return. It's a freak show that makes the sport look bad.
I know there are gonna be some who say he's an inspiration and all that other jazz, but the whole thing about it is, he shouldn't be in a ring or a cage.
The guy he fought was in a lose-lose situation, even though he won the fight. Maynard was considered a downed opponent at all times, so what good is that in the fight game? The whole thing is a big freakin' joke.
I hope that if he ever steps in a cage again, someone punts him and his stubs into the fourth row, ending this shananigance once and for all.
Rant over

Ya i dont get it either. from what i read his gloves wouldnt stay taped on so he was unable to punch according to rules. So what does this guy have left? all he can do is wrestle and possibly try some sort of a submission. I guess i just dont get what this guy is thinking was going to happen. I am not trying to bash this guy and i give him props for trying but why not do some sort of speaking and get other kids in the same situation hope or coach, something productive. I also read that it was held in a real classy barn with a dirt floor. hah. not good for MMA IMO either.
