That was an amazing finish and wreck. Brad did nothing wrong, but as Carl said, the rule won't change until someone dies.

Look what it took to get the safer barriers installed in the walls...Dale Earnhardt.

I'm a hockey collector, but a huge nascar fan. When Dale died I was devastated, and I don't want to see that happen to anyone else in Nascar, whether it be my favorite driver, or least favorite. I was very happy to see Carl moving, and for him to get out and finish the race in "Ricky Bobby like" fashion lol. Good to hear that no fans were seriously injured, and I hope to hear that Newman is also alright, because he took quite a lick there from Carl's car.

    Doesn't everyone just love Talladega?

I do love Talladega-its the best racing on the planet-however the fans are too close to the track IMO-its a risk to sit there-I know I wouldnt going to those places. As for the rules-Nascar wont touch them until someone dies as Carl said-but danger is part of the sport i guess-its part of the attraction-heck the crashes are the main feature on yahoo right now. Im just glad everyones ok.

Yeah something should be done, but I doubt anything will happen with the Rules. Nascar has gotten safer over the past few years, but like you said, you will never be able to eliminate the danger of driving cars 200+ MPH, it's just a dangerous sport and the drivers are obviously willing to take the risk

If you noticed, Edwards roll cage looked intact. Glad to see him ok, and unless a fluke incident happens like a driver getting hit while taking off his gear, I think NASCAR will be ok with deaths. They have come a long way since Earnhardt. Junior and Newman should of known (crew chief, spotter where are you) That the 2 car push on the high lane was working all day. And to of block that. Glad for Junior to get that top-five... Mears where were you. Running top 10-12 all day... finish 16.. WHY!!?? Lets go Todd!

Congrats to Keso for the upset of the century though...

That's a stretch. James Finch's cars have been known to run well at Super Speedways. Look no further than the Daytona 500 of two years ago - Mike Wallace finished fourth in that car.

It's good for the team all round, I've called online sim races with Brad in them and if one lesson can be learned from his climb up the ladder in racing, determination and persistence can go a long way. Kese has never gave up in anything he's did in the sport and it has paid off!

    Way to go Brad!

I know their cars run good on superspeedways-but this is a gigantic upset-5th race for Keso in Cup, part time single car team that hasnt qualified for some events-huge upset-single car teams arent supposed to win in Nascar anymore ever-it hasnt happened this decade until today...so in my book its an upset.

oh yeah hahaha. BDR was a two car team when Burton was there-Sadler and Craven Ill give you-and when they won it was an upset as well! Amazing how I forget-but in modern times this is an upset-Craven won in what 03 last at the Darlington race-Burton won the 500, Sadler won at Bristol in the Wood Brothers car I think in 01? So its been since 2003-unless anyone can think of a single car team after that? Thanks though for correcting me
