Here is the story: I went to game in KC and got the bat from the gift store at stadium during 98 when Dye was up and down between Omaha and KC. Then the next day when to the Omaha Royals game and got it signed during batting practice. I was the only one behind screen by dugout when I asked Dye if he would sign this bat. He looked at me and said very short (Where did you get that?!! Wait here I will be back).
He did come back we talked for 5 minutes about the bat, career and this hometown - Great Guy
