Nets: Coach Frank will return next season

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP)—Despite missing the playoffs for two straight years, Rod Thorn is convinced the New Jersey Nets are on the right road and that Lawrence Frank is the man to lead the team.

Thorn announced on Wednesday that the 38-year-old Frank, who is the longest tenured coach in the Eastern Conference, will be returning for a sixth full season.

Wow, he's the longest tenured eastern conference coach? Pretty surprising, IMO! Good to see he'll be coming back, though.

Not sure why I get this move - the team is mediocre, the players don't really like him, and a lot of people think he's just a jerk. Until they ditch Carter, they're going to be a mediocre team anyway, so they might as well get a new coach.

Or, ditch Carter and hope that Frank can do a good job - he does have a .500 record, so that's not too bad...
