SV or BV?
I know this is a a very debatable topic. Some people swear by BV because it is the only set way of measuring cards, while others swear by SV because they think BV is just a bunch of Beckett guys putting numbers for card values... I'm interested to see how the poll works out! Thoughts?

I've gone by BV only because most others do, but I'm trying not to rely on it much anymore....just go by what both parties are happy with.

I mainly rely on BV...to me, it's the most standardized, regardless of how arbitrary some people think it is.

sv all the way, if beckett truly attempts to determine prices accurately, then they're throwing darts at a board, cause a card is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it

I go strictly BV with the exception of one card,the card in my avatar (if I ever decided to part with it). If I cared about sell values,my Pujols cards woulda been gone a long time ago lol.

BV in most cases but SV for others.
Perfect Example:
06/07 Topps Photoshoot RC Auto of Randy Foye books $400........ DEFINIETLY not even close to SV...

I use SV because thats a why i look to see how my cards are doing. If i bought a card for like $5 and then later it sells for $20, i know ive made some money because of the SV. BV probably already had it high and it's just a made up number.

I think BV is ridiculous, but I use it at times because others rely so heavily on it.
I use combinations of both, but really I just want to work out a trade that I and my trade partner feel is fair. People who stick to closely to either set of values are most likely really hard to get a trade done with and I typically stay away from people who have those dumb "I only trade by ___ value" lines in their sigs

I use BV as a reference, only to prevent a trade of like a $30 dollar card for a $5 dollar card. I just try to make sure were both happy. For example, I'm ready and willing to give up any of my cards for Dennis Rodman, but other basketball collectors could **** him away; but to me, they ARE the collection. I even find it more rewarding to pull a Rodman base than an MJ base. BV is overrated in my opinion, but it can be useful.
