T-wolves trade for players!
wow...Wolves get Sam Cassell and Ervin Johnson.
In return, they let go Joe Smith (who wasn't much of a player at all, but cost them millions and draft picks) and Anthony Peeler
This helps them towards the play-offs

SportsLine.com wire reports
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves traded forward Joe Smith and guard Anthony Peeler to the Milwaukee Bucks for guard Sam Cassell and center Ervin Johnson on Friday.
Cassell averaged 19.7 points a game for the Bucks last season, his 10th year in the league. He became expendable when the Bucks acquired veteran Gary Payton from Seattle last season.
"We want to put players on the floor, and that's what Sammy is," Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders said.
The Timberwolves expect Cassell to play alongside current point guard Troy Hudson and also relieve Hudson at the point.
Johnson averaged 2.2 points a game last year for the Bucks as a backup.
Smith missed 26 games because of injuries last season for the Wolves, his eighth year in the league. He averaged 7.5 points and five rebounds a game.
Peeler, Minnesota's all-time 3-point field-goal leader, averaged 7.7 points a game last season.

Wow!!! It actually looks like they're trying to make KG happy. Cassell can flat out ball, even though he looks like an alien. LOL

Well what realistic chance do the Bucks have in resigning GP... looks like TJ's going to be their starting PG next year.

It was clear the Bucks were gonna move Cassell after drafting TJ Ford. Looks like they gave up trying to resign GP. At least GP can go somewhere and compete for a title...

I wonder if the Bucks just want to dump salary to try to help sell the team... Why would they trade Allen to get GP for a couple months??

I hope The Glove comes out to LA. We could use him.

It would give LA one last chance at a title...if Kobe's gonna test FA next year....you can pretty much take it that he is gone....Phil is not sure how much longer he wants to coach.....

kobe ain't going no where, kobe is nutz, you got the most dominate center in the league...the lakers would trade kobe before they let him go for free...
and I like that trade, I am thinking that the T-wolves jsut got a lot better, they just added another scorer that they needed bad... and before

Kobe will NOT be going anywhere.
Yes, he will test the free agent market; but the Lakers can pay him more than any other team.
Second, Shaq's still around. What's the point of Kobe leaving for another team -- does he really want to go up against Shaq?
Without Kobe, Shaq and the Lakers were a few games over 0.500
