Who will win the Hart Trophy?
Well with the Candidates anounced, no real surprise here
Malkin
Ovechkin
Datsyuk
All 3, superstar players in the NHL.
My vote goes to Ovie
This award is for most valuable player to his team basically, and Ovie does most of the work for the Caps himself
Malkin has his tag team combo with Crosby, and a great goaltender behind him, and well Datsyuk has the Wings, which is the best supporting cast in the NHL.
My vote goes Ovie, lets see what you guys think
(Please don't turn this into a ridiculous argument like my previous thread)

I want Malkin to win but I think Ovi will get it due to him being him.

Ovie will win it, but my vote goes to Datsyuk. That guy can play in any situation. Great puckhandling skills, deke, steals the puck, very good defensively, spectacular shootout skills, no look pass, even pass without his stick. Sure Detroit is loaded, but because of that Datsyuk gets way less ice time than the other candidates. Even with that time constraint he surpassed his teamates by a whopping 24 pts. Byng, Selke, Hart, it's Datsyuk's year! Some will say bah without Datsyuk, Detroit will still be in the league's elite. I don't think so... During the season, Detroit looked pretty vulnerable in parts thanks to Chris Nogood, without Dats, games that were won by one goal margin would have been losses. He is the complete player, merging finesse with physical disciplined play. There should be a Datsyuk trophy, awarded to the most complete hockey player in the league. If Babcock hadn't separated Zetty and Pav, #13 might have passed the 100 pts.
As for Ovie, yes he is the NHL's most enthusiast goal scorer. That attitude spreads out to his teammates. Washington without Ovie is a completely different team. With 528 shots on goal, some must go in. His physical play and on ice variety show attracts the crowd and the votes.
Malkin won the Art Ross, by dishing out 78 assists and scoring 35 goals. What hinders his chances? Probably Crosby. Arguably the Crosby-Malkin line is the most potent this year. Malkin showed this year that he can rival Datsyuk in take aways too.

Exactly the point of "most valuable player" in my opinion. Not to diminish Datsyuk or Malkin, both great players obviously, but Ovie means more to the Caps than either of them do to their respective teams...ergo most valuable.

Weird to see three Russians duke it out for the Hart! I don't think that has happened before
My vote goes to Ovi...

Yeah Most Valuable Player means whoever is most valuable to their team. So you must think about that.

I think Ovechkin will win but I'd give it to Datsyuk personally.
His game is more well-rounded and polished than Ovechkin, he does it all. I also believe think a lot of the Wings had subpar years and he carried them consistently wire to wire.
