they were probably chuckling at the name as well. also, this isn't an UD error. his name was originally spelled that way. he used it on draft day and even ITG printed his name like that in their H&P set prior to his name change. i think someone mentioned he'll probably change it again now that he knows what his name means, lol.

Simple, he his doing good in the stanley cup and collector decided they want his card before they go up, thus making them go up. Price is a question of demand. The more demand the more the price go up.

Just wait a few months....example, Carey Price Rookies. They are dropping like rocks.
Every month goes by, I keep saying to myself, "That's low", but then I see then go further down.
Crosby High-end RCs are doing the same thing.
IMO, of course.

One of the reason is lack of buyer dues to the bad economy. Not just the fact he had a bad 2nd part of season. I am not worried about Price, I know this was just a bad sequence with ton of player not playing for him.
I see deal on ebay more and more latly so the economy does play a good role in devaluation.

I’ve bought 8 Young Guns of Simeon Varlamov between $4 to $10 on eBay. I consider it a long term investment. Funny thing is I haven’t seen many Exclusives of him. In any case, the Caps are a
dynasty in the making similar to the Montreal Canadiens of the 70s. I am very confident he will have a long career and have his name inscribed on the Stanley Cup.
If the Caps win the Cup, I believe Fedorov will play for only 2 mil freeing up 2 mil in Cap space, Kozlov 2.5 mil will not be resigned, and they may buy out Nylander who has been a bust since his injury. I could see the Caps picking up Sergei Zubov at maybe 4 mil. He would be a good fit.Last edited by thewizardofwords; 05-03-2009 at 11:36 AM.
