    First PC Slab...SOW-worthy?

    Got my first PC slab in the mail today. 26 and change USD dlvd. Is it SOW material? BV is $40 - LMK your opinions.

    A nice card but not really a steal. People put a disproportionate emphasis on the value of a graded card - in reality a card "should" be at least a 9 fresh out of the pack these days, and with the proper care that most collectors use (i.e. it goes straight into a penny sleeve & top loader or a one-touch) there's little opportunity for them to be damaged. Had it been $2.60 + s/h, yeah that's a steal, but paying over half-BV on a card just because it's in a slab sort of disqualifies it, IMO. Were it a 10 all around, might be a different story.

    Thank you for your comments - they are appreciated! I agree with most of what you point out - note it is for PC, so I probably put a little extra value in my view. I have plenty of EJ autos, the fact that this was nicer than any I have and actually looks like a signature (as opposed to the majority of his autos/scribbles) made this card particularly stand out to me.
