I'm just shocked, just the fact that it never crossed my mind that it could be fake. I am soo critical on tim duncan auto's and in person auto's but it never dawned on me the possiblity of this being fake. small chance its not but still a chance its fake. sooo then how would you tell if a reg patch is fake?

The best way would be to get it graded/authenticated from Beckett or PSA.

Its really easy to fake that. Take a razor, cut-out the existing jersey piece, then in the empty space glue a piece of Logoman. Very simple. I tried it once on a cheap card just to see how hard it was. Anyone with half a brain and 5 minutes on their hands can do it.

I would try to get or find a real Logoman numbered 1/1 and closely examine it. Most people wouldnt use a reg patch for a fake because it wont add much to the value of the card.

Interesting.
Impossible to figure this out considering fleer is out of business and upper deck won't know for sure. Suspicious? Yes. A fake? Impossible to tell considering it says patch. They could have messed up cutting a jersey and inserted the botched logoman in the patch set. Fleer has done this before.
Like one poster said before, PSA/Beckett will have a good idea if it has been altered. If it passes them, then the authenticity is irrelevant.

The card is the GOLD version #'d out of 50. This version does have a PATCH but the ones I have seen never had a Logoman. Usually a tri-color piece of jersey, pieces of letters, etc.
I have seen 1/1's come out of Flair. Here is an example:
