NATO to expel Russian diplomats, Moscow says

NATO intends to expel two Russian diplomats from its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Thursday.

Moscow labeled the reported move “rude,” “provocative,” and “outrageous.”

NATO declined to confirm it was expelling the envoys, with a spokeswoman telling CNN: “We as NATO do not comment on this issue”...

...“They are accused of espionage incompatible with the diplomatic status,” the representative, Dmitry Rogozin, told Interfax on Thursday.

When diplomats are expelled, it is often on the assumption that they are spies.

Yes. They use this as cover for their operations because they have the diplomatic status and basically you are untochable. That is what they have to do if that is the case

Russia is a sleeping giant we will one day have to confront, well Israel will one day have to. Russia has a very large and fastly growing muslim population. Russia backs Iran and lets them do whatever they want. They help Iran with their nuclear ambitions. And Russia has become much more modernized and technologically advanced than they were in the cold war days.

I was working in the Freeport area about 5 or 6 years ago. One of the U.S.'s strategic oil reserves is located in that area. Someone thought it would be a great idea to have Russian politicians come down with Gov. Rick Perry and other Texas politicians to show the Russians what and where one of our oil reserves was.

If this isn't another boneheaded disastrous play, I don't know what is.

"Hey enemy that pretends to be a sort-of-friend, if you want to cripple us, here's where you should drop a bomb."

Will politicians ever get it, or is this exactly their plan?

Yeah, Russia backing Iran is very worrisome. They did the same thing with Vietnam...we know how that turned out.
