Game-Winner Recalls Fedorov’s Younger Days

That’s what Sergei Fedorov, at 39 the Washington Capitals’ oldest player, said somewhat wi™™™™lly after he scored the series-winning goal against the Rangers last week.
Fedorov’s face is lined, he looks tired, and there are rumors that he will hang up his skates at season’s end. But he knew how to draw on all his experience when he broke into the Rangers’ zone, one-on-one against defenseman Wade Redden, with five minutes left in a deadlocked Game 7.
