Do Not Overlook "Junk" Boxes at Card Shows!

The better-half became hooked on NASCAR last fall and is a big Kyle Busch fan.

At a Card Show this weekend (we set up as vendors) she noticed very few vendors have KB items for sale. Those that did have KB items were asking top pricing!

She was puzzled as to how she would be able to get his cards if nobody has them.

I showed here a well-known, but never used technique.....LOOK IN JUNK BOXES!

There was a baseball/football vendor that had a junk box of just about anything you could think of. While the box was NOT in alphabetical order, each section was listed with the players name. All you had to do was search for the name.

The cards were 25-cents each or 6 for $1.00. All in penny sleeves and top loaders!

The guy had 15 Kyle Busch cards...and she needed 12 of them (the other 3 were duplicants of what he had).

Maybe NOT the steal of the day....but....6 were base...and 6 were inserts!

Just wanted to remind everyone....LOOK IN THOSE JUNK BOXES!

    Oh..picked up a 1953 card depicting a 1953 Henry J car.

My fathers first NEW car was a Henry J....and we have passed this card up at flea markets, card shows, gun shows...ranging from $25 to $50 each! I think he will be really pleased.

Won't tell you what I paid for it....you might call the cops and report me as a thief!

Thanks for putting up with my long note....
