Sloan makes NHL playoff debut

WASHINGTON - It's much better to catch the Bear Flu than the Swine Flu.

And, if you're Tyler Sloan, you get to play in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Sloan and Karl Alzner staged remarkable recoveries from the blue line pandemic that sidelined them for Sunday's Game 2 of the Hershey Bears-Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Calder Cup playoff series.
The two defensemen materialized as recalls to the Washington Capitals Monday.
