OPC Update - Metal vs Metal X

So i just busted my first box of OPC Update... I'm having issues determining the difference between the metal and metal X cards. Could someone give me some tips?

It seems like some of the cards are more... "rainbowy" for lack of a better word. Then I got a Crosby metal that seems to have more... circles around the border, or rather the circles are a lot more defined than most of the other metal cards...

Anyways any advice would be appreciated, thanks all.

The Metal cards are darker in the background than the Metal X cards. The Metal X cards have little mountain/tiretrack shapes in the background too. Here are pics of Metal and Metal X:

^This one is really just the Metal version, the seller just misidentified it.

    ^Metal X version.

    Hope this helps!

    Awesome, thanks guys!

Its hard to miss the mountains (as RGM calls them) now that I've seen them once. Didn't even know about the Gold vs. Metal issue... looks like I have a whole 'nother problem now.

    thanks.

Just make sure to ask sellers whether it's from OPC or OPC Update.

of the ones i have and have seen the metal x are not all as obvious as that...
some require a certain angle in light for you to see the markings... bad idea by opc i think.
