Is it worth it to invest in Bowman Chrome anymore?

With all the emphasis on bowman chrome rookie autos and game used cards nowadays, is it even worth investing in a ton of bowman chrome rookie card of a hot prospect anymore? it seems like bowman chrome autos would be the best choice, but how about just bowman chrome rookie cards? i can get a really good deal on a top prospects bowman chrome rookie cards for a good price for a lot of 100 cards, however, is there still a market for bowman chrome rookie cards anymore?

i can get 123 bowman chrome cards for $135.00 which is an average of $1.09 per card, do you think it would be reasonable to turn a profit on this if the player hits it big in the big leagues? thanks for your time.

brent lillibridge of the braves..i think(but this card has him in a pirates uniform) but as a generic rule covering all players is it a good investment to invest in bowman chrome rookie cards? thanks.

If he hits it big you can make some profit selling in lots of 10 or so. Of course the coloured refractors will give you a better profit margin though. I think your buying in too high though...you can get his base chromes for much cheaper waiting it out on ebay for multi card lots

Just my opinion, but if I was really wanting to speculate on sinking $100 into one prospect, I think I would agree with the previous poster and buy some of the harder to get, lower serial numbered refractors of that person rather than buying a bunch of base RC's. Due to scarcity, if the guy pans out you would get a much better return.

I hope it works out for you, but I would recommend taking that $100 and buying a really nice card of your favorite player or, seeing as you are a set builder, put it into that venture.

I think each year when the set comes out they have an idea of whos going to be going to the majors and whos not. To me it seems like bowman chrome is all about pulling those few players and flipping them at the right time. Just my opinion, I really dont do prospects. I hope this helps.
