The only thing I don't care for is the text. The card is absolutely brilliant. The text just doesn't have the same impact as the rest of that card. It is really an amazing design. It's more like art than a trading card. Really beautiful. Maybe the coolest thing I've seen you do (and that says a lot!).

That is why I have been messing with it for so long, I cannot get the text to look right. I really like how the rest of the card looks but I hate the text. This text is the best I have come up with.

Probably stating something obvious, but have you tried dafont.com? I can usually find something there.
I wonder what it'd look like with either a handwriting or script like font. I think you could find something to go with the distressed look you've got going. The current font looks too modern to me.
Man, I love that design.
But I agree with RF... awesome looking design.

Amazing design, though the fonts still look off. Maybe try "dirtybag" from Da Font

I like that text more. Very cool.
Further thought: The card has a very heavy motif. The metallic border, richly textured background and dynamic player image needed a substantial anchor at the bottom with the text. That's why the first text didn't look right to me. It just floated there without grounding the bottom of the card. The new text does a much better job.Last edited by RockiesFan33; 07-23-2010 at 06:13 PM.

I had tried dirtybag but I didn't think it fit in with my design, but thanks for the suggestion,Last edited by bigga; 07-23-2010 at 10:40 PM.
