When I watched it, I did find it kind of odd that the president of the United States was essentially doing a roast...but it was pretty funny. It's always a little weird to hear somebody make fun of themselves for something everybody else is blasting them for.
The one thing about it is Obama does have a good sense of humor, where Bush had a horrendous sense of humor. Bush laughed at everything, making us all feel a little uneasy. Bush cracking jokes about not being able to find WMD's in Iraq was quite frankly sickening.

Yeah, Bush crossed the line also.
But joking people dying seems sickening to me also. Even if you dont like Rush Limbaugh (Wanda Sykes said she hopes his kidneys fail, and Obama laughed), you shouldnt wish death on a person. I dont like Obama, but I dont wish any type of harm on him at all.

When presidents used to have some dignity and respect for the position, they used to refuse to say anyhthing negative about the previous administration and their subordinates.
Our current president has no dignity, cooth, respect, or even values the position of leader of our country to other foreign leaders.
He returns a bust of Winston Churchill to the British??? He gives the Queen an ipod??? He gives the British Prime Minister a stack of DVD's???!!!
How cheap, un-dignified, un-cooth, ghetto, is this president???? He makes us look like a bunch of cheap kids who have no business playing with the big boys. What an insult to our country!!

How is it racist? It is ghetto...a stack of dimestors dvds compared to the British P.M.'s gift?? Look at the thoughtfulness, originality, earnestness that went into the British Prime Ministers gift to obama, and then look at what obama gave in return. Mind you, obama didn't even welcome the P.M. to the White House for a dinner, as is customary....a slap in the face to our "brothers across the pond".
But they concede that the mood music of the event was at times strained. Mr Brown handed over carefully selected gifts, including a pen holder made from the wood of a warship that helped stamp out the slave trade - a sister ship of the vessel from which timbers were taken to build Mr Obama's Oval Office desk. Mr Obama's gift in return, a collection of Hollywood film DVDs that could have been bought from any high street store, looked like the kind of thing the White House might hand out to the visiting head of a minor African state.
I am not a racist sir, I have several black friends....and I don't have many friends at all. I judge people of the level of their ignorance and their actions, regardless of color of skin. I guess if I were black it would be o.k. to call giving a head of state a stack of dvds ghetto.

clinton was a ghetto sleaze, although I may have used the term too rashly. I don't know of him giving cheap dvds vs. such a well crafted gift (that deserves the term ghetto no matter the race of the cheapskate)...clinton used his gov./pres. powers to seduce (& probably nearly rape some) many many many women over the years. When cops do it they are charged for abuse of power.
Yes, if bush would've done the same thing, it would be ghetto as well. I'm not a big defender of Bush, he did a lot of crummy & socialist things. However, I knew he was looking out for the best interest of our nation's security. He would've never bowed to a Saudi Prince (showing subservency to a higher authority), he would also not let terrorists loose in our country and give them welfare as our current president wants to do. He would also never cut our nation's defense funds so drastically as clinton did and obama wants to do.

Since when is "ghetto" a racist statement? What race is "ghetto"?

"Ghetto" actually originally refers to places where Jews were forced to live.
