Theme of the Week: Rookie Card

Okay everyone-welcome to something new here in the show and tell area of the racing boards-this concept was sort of taken from other show and tell boards on the site but we are gonna switch it up!

Every Monday I will start a new theme of the week thread with a certain type of card-everyone who wants to can post their 2 favorite cards that match that theme-the only catch is that they must match the theme and they must be in your collection or under your ownership.

There will be no voting or anyting-and the point isnt to post your best cards-it is to post your favorite cards.

I think this is going to be fun and hopefully we will have some stories as to why some of you pick the ones you do. I encourage everyone to play along

This week's theme is Rookie Cards-a pretty simple theme (they will get more complex eventually and cause you to dig through your collection)

Cards can be from the first year or from the driver's Cup Rookie Year-ok here we go!

Why-well its the one everyone wants if they are a Carl collector, and it took me a longtime to finally get one.

Why-I pulled it-those were hot parallels in 1993 lol-and the old school stache doesnt hurt-ive just always really liked this one and I havent gotten rid of it haha.

My favorite rookie card is my 1998 Press Pass Signings of Dale Jr. This is the only "certified" autograph of his to bear his full name. I can't post a pic of it from here at work but you can find it in my bucket.
