year question
I'm about to organize a large player collection. I want to do it by year. When you look on the back at the copy write and it says a year ex: 2005, is this a 05-06 or 04-05?

i have seen some that will trick you....like say it was made late in the '08-09 season it will say 2009, and so will most of the upcoming '09-10 cards.....catch my drift?

That was the basis of what I was thinking. I thought I saw it both ways. I hope the 1st way is the norm, but i guess not. I am going to do a spread sheet thing as I think I might try for super collector and I need to get it documented. Plus I don't know what I already have with trades and buying lots etc... Thank sfo the comments.

Just look up what brand came out in the 2nd series or just came out late and you'll have your answer. most would be 05-06 though.

I have about 500+ cards of different years, so this can take a while.

I've seen both ways. When it is a base card, I often use as a reference the last season record printed on the back of the card, if I am unsure of the set year.
