It's beyond me why they've got to wait until Sunday to start. I can see having tonight (Friday) off... as one team from each conference final played last night. No reason why either of these games couldn't go Saturday night (unless there is a scheduling confict @ the arenas).
This is why the Stanley Cup gets handed out in June.

Its beyond me that NBC cannot show the games... so I can watch a total of 2 out of a possible 14 games...

It's called ratings and revenue. bottom line

Ratings would be up if they broadcast on Local TV... NBC has more viewers then Versus. Bottom line.

I believe the Preakness is on NBC Saturday afternoon. People probably complained when the Kentucky Derby was delayed a couple of weeks back due to ot.

They start on Sunday so that we have time to get entrants for the predictions threads lol...
and also, I love afternoon games, means i can watch them without having to go to bed at 3 am

got my tickets for sunday in detroit and the sunday after in chi. luckily got the detroit tickets for face this morning but got raped as usual for the chicago tickets. $420 for 2 my usual 328. gonna be worth it though. this is the only nice thing about living between chicago and detroit.
on a side note the wife is actually turning the corner and bought the detroit tickets after all these years of myself exclusively paying for hockey tickets. whether its the hawks season tix or out of town games, i've always paid. she's coming around, haha.

why pay to watch the hawks lose when you can see it for free in your living room
