What would you rather have? Insert or Parallel or Numbered?

I'm just curious what the feeling is out there. What would you rather have?

    Inserts or Parallels or Numbered?

The distinction being that an insert is a small subset within a larger release
A Parallel is a non-numbered Shorter printed version of another card
And a Numbered card is any card which is numbered (even if it could be classified as a parallel or an insert)

    My vote is for Numbered.

This has an ulterior motive as well. If someone wants inserts or parallels over their numbered cards, feel free to Pm me. We can make a trade happen, no problem.

So, the vote will be public.

    Feel free to chime in!
    Cheers,
    reoddai

I'll take an insert. I may be alone, but I still have a thing for those mid 90's inserts. IMO I'd much rather have an insert because I know that it is unique, and while maybe not numbered, definitely distinguishable. Meanwhile a numbered card or parallel IMO is just a gimmick to put more value into cards that already are pretty common. Let look at Artifacts. How many of the exact same cards are there except some numbered out of 999, 100, 75, 50, etc, etc. Its odd to think that some are foolish enough to shell out 10x the value of the /999 version for lets say, the /10 version, or 50x for the 1/1, when the truth is, your 1/1 is the exact same card as my base /999. Except I did not waste a pocket full of money for it. Inserts at least have a theme, and they are what they are; there are no gimmicky concepts designed to convince the buyer to pick up 10 of the exact same card.

I like numbered cards. The idea of knowing how many of a card are out there makes me feel more secure about my collection.

I love Carey Price Young Guns, but it drives me nuts not knowing how many are out there? 50,000????

I'd take a numbered card as well because at least it gives you an idea of the production number of that card.
