i'd take a number 5 pick over being the top seed in the nhl and choking to a team who really shouldnt have made the playoffs and had a rookie goalie.

Except low numbered picks are given to teams that sucked. Thats pretty much what he said originally. I'm not going to say that the Kings do not have a brighter future than the Sharks, because they do. But right now, and for the last 15 years, they have sucked. That logic reminds me of my friend who is a Ranger fan and claims that the Rangers are a better franchise because the Devils only won Cups when they didn't have to face the Rangers in the playoffs. What he is missing though is that the reason the Devils did not have to face the Rangers during those runs is because the Rangers were bottom feeders getting beat by everyone. Hence, they sucked.

just try to get a bit specific. go for only patch or auto cards or something like that. you will limit what your needs are.

They lost in game 7 to colorado who went to the west finals and lost to detroit who won the cup that year. go back a year before that and they beat detroit in the 1st round before losing to colorado, who won the cup that year. definately havent sucked for 15 years. please fact check before saying things

Oh, I'm sorry, I though you were done splitting hairs. Let me correct myself. Over the past 15 years the Kings have had less success than the Florida Panthers. They have not made the playoffs since the lockout. From 95-00 they won 0 playoff games. From 2001-2004 they made the playoffs twice. So in the last 15 years, they have won 1 playoff series. Very successful indeed. Geez dude get a grip on things.

Anyways(topic related) like many other have said, he's your favorite player so you should keep on collecting him. If you can concentrate more on the patches and autos, and less on the inserts it shouldn't be too bad.

well, the only problem is that I havent been able to get my hands on any patches or autos lately as I have no money to spend on new traders or on cards in general.....the only things Ive been able to get recently are inserts....

another idea is maybe start a new PC of an easier/cheaper player to collect. Then just get a nice card here and there if you get some extra money or stuff like that. I'm thinking of doing that myself, its hard to find an auto of either of my guys for under $40-50 on ebay. Just cant think of a new player that I like enough to start collecting, lol.

Still collect joe but start on a new PC of all sharks. You can still get the cards of your fav player while getting a lot of other cards (cant say nice cause its the sharks)
