1st Annual SCF Awards: Discussion

A couple of weeks ago me and Jsox came up with some ideas. We were joking around about being Rookie of the year here on SCF and we should do an awards thread. When this is my last week of school, so now i figure i have time to post about it.

Here are the awards i think we should give out:
Most Valuable Poster
Rookie of the Year(one year or less)
SCF All-1st Team(5 people)
SCF All-2nd Team(5 people)
SCF All-3rd Team(5 people)
Funniest Poster
Best Moderator
Coolest Profile

Do you guys have any other awards to add to this?
Please give me your inputs.

What about like best collection? We could do that by sport, by type of card, and best player/team collection

How exactly are you going to judge these? Is it all going to be based in opinions or facts? I mean, "Most Valuable Poster." Does that mean the person with the most posts or the person who contributes the best stuff to the site on average per post?

There's a lot to consider when working something like this.

I agree with rchurchward, things like best collection could be a simple poll with each member's collection on the ballot, but things like most valuable poster are sort of in a gray area.

Personally, I'd like to see a "Best Game-Used Patch Collection Award" ;-)

i agree with both, however if its by most posts, we all know i already win so theres no sense in running that :)

This are some great ideas to get more people in here and trade more. Some of those are going to be won by the same user but will be a nice way to have some competition.

There should be awards like "Most Idiotic Member" "Dumbest Member" "Coolest Profile" "Worst Speller" "Biggest Mark Teixeira Fan!!!!!!!!!"
